The Tudor Poison Plot
When twelve-year-old Nicholas arrives at bishop Fisher’s home in London, 1531, alone and desperate for work, he is first mistaken for a spy. Given a job as a kitchen boy, he soon realises that secrets, threats and intrigue swirl around the Bishop’s house.
After a dish of pottage is poisoned, one of the Bishop’s staff is taken to the Tower of London and awaits a dreadful punishment.
