As a qualified primary school teacher who has also taught at the secondary and college level, I love visiting schools to encourage children of all ages to write their own stories and exercise their imaginations. As well as running hour-long interactive, activity-based book talks, I enjoying teaching longer in-depth creative writing workshops which can be based around diverse themes ranging from fantasy, science fiction and contemporary issues. The main aim of these workshops is to help children, teenagers and adults develop their own love of writing and inspire them to tell their own unique tales through fun, student-centred activities.
